LOLSC Policy

Please note the following change as of 7/7/2016.

The 2016 entry level referee process and time frame has changed. The entry level program will consist of 4 online modules with a test at the end of each module in which the referee candidate has to receive 100% to move on to the next module. They will also have an extra review of Law 5 (referee) and law 11 (offside).

Once completed the referee will register for a 3 hour classroom training session and a 2 hour combo field/classroom training session in either order. Minimum age is 13 when the season starts to be able to referee.

For more details see the CT referee site: www.ctreferee.net

We pay the following for refereeing games:

- U10 Center $30
- U12 Center $40
- U14 Center $45 ($50 if single ref)
- Assistant Referee for U12 or U14 $25

We reimburse new referees for the cost of the initial course once they have worked for a minimum of five games and pass the test for the following year.

We do not reimburse for the referee uniform or equipment.  The annual recertification course will be reimbursed if the referee worked five games or more during the season which he/she recertified.

Referee abuse will not be tolerated. Anyone witnessing abuse of referees should report it to a LOLSC coach or Board member.
